Concept: At George P. Johnson, each class of interns concludes their tenure by planning and executing the office holiday party for their respective location. For the Austin office, the intern team approached me with a request to design a custom bandana as a giveaway for their Western-themed event. Given full creative liberty, I hand-rendered each design element before refining them in Adobe Illustrator, ultimately crafting a custom pattern that captured the theme while maintaining a bold, cohesive aesthetic.

As is often the case in the event industry, adaptability was key when unforeseen circumstances arose—due to vendor limitations, the original bandana concept had to be pivoted to a tote bag design instead. This shift required reformatting the artwork to suit a new medium while ensuring the design’s integrity and impact remained strong. The final product maintained the intended Western-inspired aesthetic while serving as a versatile and memorable keepsake for event attendees.
