As the Marketing Intern for the Office of Student Life at Saginaw Valley State University, I was responsible for designing and executing social media content to boost student engagement and drive attendance at campus events. Tasked with managing both the visual direction and overarching marketing strategy, I developed a consistent, inviting digital presence that aligned with the university’s and office’s brand while fostering a strong sense of community.

With full creative ownership of their social platforms, I focused on building a vibrant, student-focused presence. My strategy prioritized high-quality photography over traditional graphics, responding to performance data that showed authentic imagery drove significantly higher engagement. By leaning into dynamic, real-life visuals and thoughtful content planning, I was able to create a more relatable and engaging connection with the student body; ultimately increasing visibility, participation, and overall interaction across channels.
